In October 2026, the Buenos Aires International Architecture Biennial will celebrate a double milestone: 40 years of history and its 20th edition, solidifying its position as one of the most important global gatherings focused on architecture, urbanism, and design. The 2026 Biennial will be a grand celebration. Its central exhibition, HABITAR, will bring together projects from different regions of the world that reflect the diversity of approaches and responses that architecture offers to the challenges of every era.

For this edition, the Biennial returns to two emblematic venues in its history: the National Museum of Fine Arts and the Recoleta Cultural Center, located in the heart of Buenos Aires' most important cultural corridor. It also adds notable venues nearby, such as the National Library, the National Museum of Decorative Arts, the MARQ (Archaeological Museum of Alicante), and the Victoria Ocampo House. Thus, during the month of October, these spaces will become the main exhibition center, accompanied by an international conference program from October 5 to 10, 2026, which will take place in the Amigos del Bellas Artes Auditorium.
